take to the highway, won’t you lend me your name?

hiker/hippie/traveler theme.

When I was little, my parents used to play James Taylor in the car a lot. (Or maybe just once and awhile, I don't know. My memory is very skewed when it comes to remembering anything before I was nine.) I always heard the lyrics and tried to sing along, but I never really listened to them, so I ended up with bits and pieces of the songs just floating around in my head and resurfacing at random times. (Particularly, fragments of "Sweet Baby James" at three in the morning.) I was searching for an appropriate title at the same time I was making the board, and I remembered that "Country Road" had that folkish sound to it that sort of went along.

Now, on a completely unrelated note, I follow this blog called All Swamped In Flowers, and Izzy, the owner of said blog, is hosting a giveaway! The subject of the giveaway is one leather Modalu London Kiera bag from ShopAlike, and it honestly looks really nice. You can look over the few rules and enter here.

  1. I love the last photo of the overgrown greenhouse. It looks like the one in my backyard only more magical like a place where a fairy lives.

  2. You do great inspiration pics! I love the humbolt honey picture, it's classic and hilarious!
